LaDonna Antoine Harrison

LaDonna Antoine Harrison, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished sister, and faithful friend, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on May 21, 1968, in Simmesport, Louisiana, she was the beloved daughter of Romes and Delia Mae Antoine.

A memorial service for Mrs. Harrison will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:30 P.M. until service time at the church.

LaDonna accepted Christ at an early age and united with Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Simmesport. After moving to Monroe, Louisiana, she became a dedicated member of Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church, where her faith deepened and flourished. On July 27, 1991, LaDonna was united in marriage to Ronnie Harrison Sr. From their loving union came two children, Shantae Harrison and Ronnie Harrison Jr., who were the joy and pride of her life.

A proud graduate of Northeast Louisiana University (now the University of Louisiana at Monroe), LaDonna had a heart for service that shaped her career. She touched countless lives through her work with ULM Co-op Daycare, Ouachita Workforce Area 81, Ouachita Parish Public Library, and as a board member for Families Helping Families. With a gentle spirit, unwavering patience, and uplifting presence, she left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

At Lea Joyner, LaDonna served faithfully in multiple leadership roles and was especially devoted to her work as Director of the church nursery, Circle of Faith, and administrative team. Through her nurturing guidance, she helped raise generations of children, leaving behind a legacy rooted in love, faith, and compassion.

LaDonna was also known for her exceptional cooking and her gift for bringing people together. Her home was a place of warmth, fellowship, and comfort—a reflection of her generous heart and welcoming soul.

A die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, LaDonna had a true love for football. She especially looked forward to Friday nights under the lights, cheering on the Sterlington Panthers. Nothing made her prouder than watching her son, Ronnie Harrison Jr., thrive as a coach and leader on the field.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, William W. and Mattie J. Dupar; paternal grandparents, John and Hazel H. Antoine; and nephew, Jermaine O. Antoine. LaDonna leaves to cherish her memory: her parents, Romes and Delia Antoine; her loving husband, Ronnie Harrison Sr.; daughter, Shantae Harrison; son, Ronnie Harrison Jr. (Adrienne); sister, Terrie Wright; brother, Dewayne Antoine (Delisa); brothers-in-law, Wayne Harrison, Rene Harrison, and Robert Harrison Jr. (Emma); sister-in-law, Robin Harrison. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church members, and friends whose lives were richly blessed by her presence.

LaDonna’s life was a testament to faith, service, compassion, and community. Her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
