Funeral services for Mrs. LaNell Fuller Armstrong, 70, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at First West in Feazel Chapel with Dr. Mark Fenn officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Armstrong was born on February 20, 1956, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on June 14, 2026, in Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her father, James Albert Fuller and her mother, Mary Mae Edwards Fuller.
At a very early age Mrs. Fuller knew she wanted to make something out of her life. So, she started working with Brookshires as a cashier, then stocking clerk and finally in Human Resources working for 30 years with the company. She was a member of First West and the Life Group. Mrs. Armstrong was a master gardener, an amateur photographer and a member of the Republican Women. She loved spending time at the farm with her husband and had a special love of animals. The animals were like her children. Mrs. Armstrong was also extremely supportive of Dr. Raymond Armstrong when he ran for Mayor of Monroe.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Raymond Armstrong; sister, Ann Hixon Russell and husband Steve; sister-in-law, Dr. Mary Gayle Armstrong; nephews, Rev. Daniel Hixon and wife Christene and Rev. Nance Hixon and wife Emily; and her numerous beloved animals over the years.
Pallbearers will be Rev. Daniel Hixon, Rev. Nance Hixon, Steve Russell, Ray Watson, Barry White, and Tommy Goleman. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Life Group at First West along with Rev. Woods Watson and Roosevelt Wright.
