Laura Jewel Sutton Hunter

Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Jewel Sutton Hunter, 94, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, December 30, 2013, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Jay George officiating. Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM Monday at Springville Cemetery in Coushatta, LA. 
Mrs. Hunter died Friday, December 27, 2013, at her residence. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church and WMU. 
Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Katherine Sutton; husband, Rev. U. H. Hunter, Jr.; son, William “Bill” Hunter; and daughter, Katherine Packard. 
Survivors include her sons, David Hogan Hunter and wife Debbie, and James Marshall Hunter; daughter-in-law, Marcia Hunter; five grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. 
Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. 
Memorials may be made to North Monroe Baptist Church.
