Funeral services for Leatrice Davis Britt, 87, of Sterlington, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 29, 2009, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Britt was born January 3, 1922 in Monroe, LA and passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Sterlington and a member of Sterlington Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Britt was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eddie Britt; parents, William R. and Thecla Patterson Davis; brother, William R. Davis, Jr.; and sisters, Ruth Agnew and Francis Evanich.
Survivors include her son, Robert Allen Britt and wife Sharon; daughter, Carolyn Thompson and husband Shelby; grandchildren, Bryan Britt, Wren Jordan, Caprice Fortenberry, and Jeffery Thompson; and eight great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Bill Auston, Melvin Powell, Dale Downs, Jim Malone, Mickey Chevallier, and Tommy Hopson.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
