Leroy Higginbotham

Funeral Services for Mr. Leroy Higginbotham, 99, of Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM, Friday, October 27, 2023, at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Myrick and Rev. William Sikes officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Loch Arbor Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Mr. Higginbotham was born June 21, 1924 and passed away on October 11, 2023. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Higginbotham retired from General Motors.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Wallene Delowes Higginbotham; second wife, Patsy Ann Meeks Higginbotham; son, Terry Orlando Higginbotham; and five siblings, Sallie Fletcher, James “Ben” Higginbotham, Harry V. Higginbotham, and August Higginbotham .

Survivors include his son, Forrest Eugene “Lee” Higginbotham (Toni); step-son, Randy O’Neal (Lisa); step-daughter, Kaye Lee (Philip); 11 grandchildren; Terry Lee Higginbotham, Catrina “Tina” Williams, Joseph “Joey” Higginbotham, Kristen Brush, Celeste St Cyr, Cindy Lynn Carnes, Justin Higginbotham, Corey Lee, Chad Lee, Chris O'Neal, and Katie Morace; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Vivian Christine Crain; half-brother, John “Hickory Nut” “Sonny Boy” Smith; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.  

Pallbearers will be Joseph Higginbotham, Jeff Carnes, Coby Carnes, Ronald Parker, Dennis Matlock, and Rick Harper,

Visitation will be from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM Friday, October 27, 2023, at Loch Arbor Baptist Church.
