Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Lorita Ann Gilmore, 78, of Fort Necessity, LA will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at the Fort Necessity Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Ensminger officiating. Interment will follow in the Fort Necessity Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Tuesday at Fort Necessity Baptist Church
Mrs. Gilmore was born on October 7, 1947, in Lafayette, LA and passed away on May 22, 2026. She was passionate about her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs. Gilmore loved traveling south to be with her friends, dancing and having a good time. She also loved animals and took in every cat that came around. Lorita was famous for her quote, “Well, I’m done with that.”
Lorita is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Gilmore; parents, James Elvin Broom and Ida Broom; and her sister, Vera McCarty.
Survivors include her daughter, Missy Gilmore Beavers and husband, Blue; son, Randy Gilmore; grandchildren, Kody Beavers and wife, Melanie, MaKayla Beavers, and Macy Crain and husband, Anthony; great grandchildren, Breylin Crain, Baker Crain, and Charlotte Beavers.
Pallbearers will be Blue Beavers, Kody Beavers, Anthony Crain, David Gilmore, Danny Wayne Posey, Gerald Gilmore, Tyler Gilmore, Brandon Easterling, and Ralph Easterling.
