Luckie B Nappier

Luckie Nappier, 75, passed away on May 2, 2025, in Monroe, Louisiana. Born on October 12, 1949, in Dunn, Louisiana, he lived a life defined by hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to his family and friends.

Luckie proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. His service was a testament to his strength of character and unwavering sense of duty.

Following his military service, Luckie dedicated over four decades to working as a welder in the natural gas pipeline industry. His commitment to his craft and tireless work ethic made him a respected figure among co-workers and friends alike. He took pride in being a provider and was known for always lending a helping hand to those around him.

For the past 32 years, Luckie shared his life with his beloved wife, Sandra Ramsey Nappier. Together they built a strong and loving home filled with laughter, warmth, and joy. He was a devoted father to Todd Lundy (Mary Jane), Lisa Stout, Shawn Nappier, and Michael Nappier. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren: Justin Lundy, Dalton Lundy, Joseph Peacock, Tyler Peacock, Jacob Peacock, Gillian Price, and Brandon Robinson; as well as two great-grandchildren; sister, Merrille Lowery and husband Clyde; and a host of friends and other family members.

Luckie was preceded in death by his parents, Ola Mae Easterling Nappier and Lawrence R. Nappier.

Luckie found peace and happiness outdoors. He loved fishing and hunting in the sportsman paradise, and tending his vegetable garden. Known as a great cook—especially when preparing meals for family gatherings—he brought people together with food made from the heart. His kind-hearted nature touched everyone he met; he gave freely of himself without expectation and was always ready to help others in need.

Those who knew Luckie will remember him not only for his skills and service but also for the love he gave so freely—as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, and neighbor.

May Luckie's memory bring comfort to all who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of a life well lived. Funeral services will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home 2308 Sterlington Rd.
