Marcia Eloise Crow Seale left this world for her true home on September 20, 2023.  She lived on earth 96 years, 2 months, and 28 days.

Eloise was born in Baton Rouge, LA., June 23, 1927, the third of six siblings. The family settled in Richland Parish near Epps, LA. She married Dewey Seale in 1946, and they lived in Delhi, LA and West Monroe, LA. She spent her life taking care of her family (her husband, son Richard, and daughter Margaret) and serving the Lord in First Baptist, Delhi and First West, West Monroe, as well as many smaller churches in the northeast Louisiana area where Dewey led music and she was a faithful helper. They had been married for over 70 years when Dewey passed away in February 2017.

Eloise was a creative person.  She loved music. She played the piano and sang, using her lovely voice and playing skills in church all her life.  In her fifties she even wrote many hymns and spiritual songs.  She loved to paint and did many views of the property around their last home in west Ouachita Parish.  She loved flowers and, until she was no longer physically able to tend them, had an abundance of them around her home. And she was very creative in “making do” with whatever materials she had at hand for any project she envisioned.

She loved her grandchildren very much and enjoyed having them come to spend the night without their parents.  One thing she did with them was play board games.  Many of them remember her teaching them to play Chinese Checkers and playing with them whenever they visited.

Like so many of us, Eloise had difficulties; but the grace of the Lord was always with her to give her strength. She was a faithful Christian wife, mother, and grandmother, and on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, she was totally set free.

Her parents and four of her siblings have preceded her: father Murphy Crow; mother Mildred Love Crow; sisters Joyce McComb, Evelyn Crow, and Roberta Honeycutt; and brother Bill Crow, who went to be with the Lord just 12 days before her.

Surviving Eloise and remembering her with love are her son Richard Seale and wife Gail of West Monroe, LA; her daughter Margaret Chapman and husband Danny of Kingwood, TX; her sister, Johnette Ney of Lake Charles, LA;  her six grandchildren, Jon Chapman and wife April of Hickory Creek, TX; Laura Futrell and husband Carlton of Edmond, OK; Kerrie Tilton and husband Jacob of San Antonio, TX; David Seale and wife Misty of Oklahoma City, OK;  Andy Chapman and wife Holley of Nacogdoches, TX; and Michael Seale and wife KayLeigh of West Monroe, LA.  She also leaves 22 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
