Margaret Hunter

Funeral services for Miss. Margaret Hunter, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Friday, August 22, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Lane Thompson officiating. There will be a private interment at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:30 P.M. Friday, August 22, 2025, until service time at 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.

Miss Hunter was born on November 21, 1933, in Monroe and passed away on August 16, 2025, in Monroe. She was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church and later New Iona Presbyterian Church in West Monroe where she was an elder and a deacon. She graduated from Austin Collage in Sherman, TX, and taught school for many years at Richwood High School in Monroe. Miss Hunter was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Jennings Hunter and Ethel Elaine Golson Hunter, and a brother, Howard Ray Hunter.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Iona Presbyterian Church.
