A funeral service for Margaret Dean Kulbeth Boozer, 92, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 7, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Entombment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Boozer was born March 22, 1933, in Wimar, AR, and passed away March 4, 2026, in Monroe, LA. She was the Youth Director at Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe, and owned Dean’s Antiques and Collectibles, in West Monroe, as well as Décor Once More Antiques and Collectibles in Monroe.
She is survived by her daughter, Suzette Boozer Russell (Danny); grandchildren, Brad Russell (Lauren) and Tyler Russell; sisters, Betty Franklin and Linda Brown; sisters-in-law, Wanda Miles Kulbeth and Claudia Boozer Westfall; brother-in-law, Thomas Boozer; dear friend, Al Webb; and many special nieces, nephews and other close family friends.
Mrs. Boozer was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gene Boozer; her parents, Robert L. and Bonnie A. Kulbeth; brother, Delbert M. Kulbeth; brothers-in-law, T.J. Westfall, Jewel Ray “Blackie” Franklin, George W. Boozer, and J. Dwight Boozer.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Baldwin, Robert Warner, Kenny Beall, Benjie Kizer, Kevin Hudson, and Eddie Nugent.
She attended Candon High School, where she was a cheerleader and a member of Delta Beta Sigma high school sorority.
She loved God and showed that love as Youth Director, where she and her husband Gene ministered to the youth for many years at Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist. She also enjoyed fishing, painting and shopping for and selling antiques; as well as spending as much time as she could with her two precious grandsons, Brad and Tyler, attending every school, church and sporting event they had.
Dean and her husband, Gene, enjoyed attending their daughter’s extracurricular activities and spending quality time together.
She was the life of the party, and her presence and infectious smile will be greatly missed.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Azalea Estates, especially Brooke, Missy, Amy, Jennifer, Barbara, Gloria, Tori, Randall, Randee Que, Alexis, and Destiny; and Candy with AGC Hospice, for their excellent care and loving support which is greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
