Graveside services celebrating the life of Margaret Ann O’Neal Wilkerson, 91, of Rayville, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Greer Cemetery with Dr. Justin Clark officiating.
The visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service at the cemetery.
passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026. Ann was born on July 7, 1935, in Rayville to Marguerite Roark O’Neal and Dupree O’Neal.
Ann married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Ray Wilkerson, in July of 1953. Together they raised six children in Delhi and Rayville. They celebrated 70 years together prior to his death in February 2024. Ann, known to her grandchildren and great grandchildren as Mamaw, treasured her family deeply and found great joy in the many generations she helped love and nurture.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her mother and father-in-law, Ella (Dixon) and Raymond Wilkerson; her sister and brother-in-law, Lillian and Bobby Hammett; her brother, Dusty O’Neal; and her grandchildren, Dinki Berry and Wade Myers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lillian and George Young, Ray and Nanette Wilkerson, Tammie and Jim Berry, Charles and Teresa Wilkerson, Rie McDuffie, and Lori and Todd Morris; her sister-in-law, Dot O’Neal; seventeen grandchildren; and thirty-six great-grandchildren.
Ann’s greatest legacy was the love she shared with her family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank her special caregivers, Scottie Neathery, Alease Woodruff, Marissa Heath, Rhonda Willams and Vera Ausberry. They appreciate the staff and administration at Colonial Manor who cared for their mother for the last two years and the Elara Caring team who provided care and comfort to Mrs. Ann during her final days.
