Margaret Marie Ross Self

Funeral services celebrating the life of Margaret Marie Ross Self, 95, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Clayton Donaldson officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Chatham Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday, December 2, 2024, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.

Margaret was born on October 10, 1929, in Cherokee County, Oklahoma and passed away on November 27, 2024, in West Monroe, Louisiana.

Mrs. Self was a loving mother, grandmother, and daughter who was loved by all who knew her. She loved to sit on the porch and feed the birds. Margaret also loved to watch the squirrels and play solitaire. She was a member of Wesley Chapel Church in West Monroe. She spent many years as a teacher’s aid before her retirement. To know Margaret was to love her.

She is preceded in death by two husbands; two children; and two grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas Harper and wife, Johnny Harper and wife; grandson, Willis Dale Harper, Jr. and wife; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Frank Phillips, David Menzie, Chris Harper, Matt Griffin, Cole Acree, and David Wade.
