Marie Hamley Dinger

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Hamley Dinger, 93, of Monroe, LA, will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Tobias Obado, FMH, Rev. John Paul Crispin, FMH, and Deacon Bill Goss officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Lake Providence City Cemetery in Lake Providence under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until service time at the church on Monday.

Mrs. Dinger was born on October 6, 1930, in Lake Providence, LA, and passed away on November 8, 2023, in Monroe. She was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lake Providence and sang for the church. When she moved to Monroe in 1990, she joined Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the Altar Society. Mrs. Dinger was also a member of the Catholic Daughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Dinger, Sr.; parents, Joseph and Agnes Hamley; three children, Linda Marie Hernandez, Elizabeth Anne Beckett, and Susanne Hendrix; grandchildren, Heather Beckett and Christopher Hendrix; great grandchildren, Shane and Christopher Walker; son-in-law, Richard Hernandez; and siblings, Mary Agnes Gilfoil, Anna May Farlow, Dorothy Eva Bagbey, Naomi Katherine Kitchens, and Marietta Celestine Hamley.

Survivors include her two sons, Edward Dinger, Jr. and wife Cathy and David Dinger and wife Kayse; son-in-law, Rickey Hendrix, Sr.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Jason Beckett, Josh Hernandez, Scott Dinger, Corey Dinger, Michael Hendrix, and Rickey Hendrix, Jr.

Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Pharmacy or to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
