Marilyn Rose Dickey Hemler

A graveside service for Mrs. Marilyn Rose Dickey Hemler, 79, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 27, 2023, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Ben McGehee, Rev. Betty Swanson, and Rev. Lori Spangler officiating.

Mrs. Hemler was born January 15, 1944, in Winnsboro, LA, and passed away October 24, 2023, in Sterlington LA. She grew up in Sterlington, was part of the second class to graduate from Sterlington High School and graduated from NLU. She was a teacher for the Morehouse parish school district, as well as a couple of private schools and Harrison County in Mississippi.

Mrs. Hemler was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Wilson and Alpha Walton Dickey; her father-in-law; and her mother-in-law.

Survivors include her husband, Martin Roger “Buddy” Hemler III; daughter, Ginger Hemler King and husband Robert; son, Jaret Glenn Hemler; sisters, Dianne Walker, Sharon Fowler, and Debra Malone; grandchildren, Kristen Sanderlin and husband Zach, Ariel King, Aaron King and wife Reilly, Kalynn Marie Hemler and Avery Rose Hemler; and great grandchildren, Emmi Sanderlin, Eli Sanderlin, Colin Roby and Norrin Roby.

Pallbearers will be Robert W. King, Zach Sanderlin, Matt Fowler, Carson Fowler, Pop Seffens and Jerry Seffens. Honorary pallbearers will be Aaron King, Eli Sanderlin, Colin Roby and Norrin Roby.
