Memorial services celebrating the life of Marilyn Elaine McKay Wrenn, 69, of Alto, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the Alto Baptist Church in Alto, LA with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Saturday.
Marilyn Elaine McKay Wrenn was born on October 3, 1955, in Rayville, LA and passed away on October 7, 2024, after a brief illness. Marilyn never met a stranger, only a friend she’d never met before. Her laugh, kindness and compassion for others led her to be involved in the lives of others as she worked as an LPN at Swanson until her retirement. Marilyn was a member of Alto Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, member of Eastern Star, and served others in many different ways. She worked as a sitter, and was currently employed by Delta America. Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Bennie McKay and her sister, Susan E. McKay.
Survivors include her brother, Harry Wade McKay, Sr. and wife, Lorrie; niece and nephew, Krystle Anne McKay, Harry Wade McKay, Jr. and wife, Stephanie; and numerous great nieces and nephews, Braxton and McKayla French, Alexis and Easton McKay, Kolby Young, Shelby Gunn and Mallory Grantham.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Ella Broadway and her family, and to Dr. Alan Miller for their love and support.
Memorials may be made to the Alto Baptist Church.
