Mark Kelly Dixon

Mark Kelly Dixon, of Monroe, Louisiana, passed away April 29, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. He was 53 years old.

Kelly was born and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. He attended Lexington Elementary, Lee Junior High School, Neville High School, and NLU. He took pride in his work as a title abstractor. He grew up in an extremely close family. Much of his childhood and adolescent years were spent on the Ouachita River, and Kelly was an excellent skier. He always looked forward to family trips to the beach. The beach was his happy place.

Kelly never met a stranger and was always the life of the party. If you were lucky enough to meet Kelly, you probably quickly became a part of his life. Kelly’s love for his friends and family ran deep. He was known for his huge hugs and his big smile. Kelly’s quick wit and infectious smile would always light up the room. His kindness and willingness to help others touched everyone he met. He was an avid music lover and enjoyed listening to all kinds of music, going to concerts, and playing guitar. He was happiest when he and his friends gathered to play and sing together. Cooking delicious food was one of his many talents, and according to Kelly, he always added the main ingredient…love. Kelly valued his time at the camp with his HHH brothers. They were a huge part of his life. Kelly was passionate about sports. He was a huge supporter of Neville, ULM, and LSU. He loved high school football and always looked forward to Friday nights at Neville stadium.

A celebration of life service for Kelly will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall officiated by his brother in Christ, Curry Bagwell.
