Marvin Paul Chambless, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Marvin Paul Chambless, Sr., 72, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at Abundant Life Full Gospel Fellowship in Rayville, LA, with Rev. Shirley Davidson, Rev. Tripp Davidson and Rev. Danny Chance officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 11, 2023, at the church.

Paul was born on July 20, 1951, to Marvin Lee and Lille Bell Chambless and went to his heavenly home on December 8, 2023.

Paul was retired from Ouachita Parish School Board, where he spent lots of time with the women of the Adult Learning Center. Special thanks to Sandy Bates, aka “Good Lookin”, for being his pranking cohort and partner in crime. He has spent the last year working alongside his son, Joseph, at Revival Truck and Equipment Services.

In the 72 years that Paul lived, he was so many things to so many people. He was the keeper of his beloved Zeus, a friend, son, brother, dad, and son-in-law; but most of all he was Jo Ann’s “MAN.” They were like peas in a pod. You never saw one without the other.

Paul is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jo Ann Chambless; sons, Paul Chambless, Jr. (Michelle), Joseph Chambless (Jessica), and Caleb Chambless (Myrah); grandchildren, Hannah Young (Mike), Kourtnie Kern, Makenne Chambless (Trey), Karli Chambless, Payton Grubbs, Allyson Chambless, Kaylee Chambless, R.J. Chambless, Caleb Chambless, Jr., and Noah Chambless; great grandchildren, Daylon, Kyree, Sammie Girl, Alex, Kenden, and Grayson; brother, Perry Chambless (Jackie); sister, Doretha Evans (James); a host of nieces and nephews; and of course his OUTLAWS.

Pallbearers will be Paul Chambless, Jr., Joseph Chambless, Caleb Chambless, Sr., Payton Grubbs, De Shai Berry, Patrick Crawford, Rickey Stamey, and Jerail Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be James Evans and Huey Neathery.
