IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Ann McLemore
Davis
July 21, 1949 – March 24, 2026
Memorial Service
Fair Park Baptist Church
Starts at 2:00 pm (Central time)
Mary Ann McLemore Davis, 76, of West Monroe, LA, passed peacefully from this life on March 24, 2026, leaving behind those she loved the most. The world got a little quieter, and the kitchen won’t taste the same without her, but Heaven is a whole lot sweeter!
Cooking was her love language. Whether she was feeding family or anyone lucky enough to wander into her kitchen, Annie believed a full belly and a visit could solve just about any problem. Her fiery red hair may have faded through the years, but her sassy attitude stayed true until the end. Her spirit was as bold as the flavors in her food. She was quick to tell anyone who would listen… “I CAN COOK!”
Ann was preceded in death by her grandparents; parents; brother, Randy; and her son-in-law, who she lovingly referred to as her “best friend, Billy.”
Those left here to honor her legacy and miss her like crazy are her husband of fifty-five years, Scott Davis; daughters: Polly Davis Norris, Rachael Davis Dunn (David), and Katy Davis Hendry (Jason); her twin sister and other half, Jan Adcock (David); sisters, Sue Johnston and Nancy McLemore; brother, Sidney McLemore (Belinda); and sister-in-law, Rita McLemore; her grandchildren: Blake Balsamo, Clay Norris, Maggie Jones (Matthew), Will Norris (Clesi), and Erin Norris; her great-grandchildren: Andi-Leigh Norris, Audrey Jones, Gracyn Norris, and Archie Jones; a large host of nieces and nephews; and numerous amazing friends.
In true Annie fashion, her request was to be put “straight in the ground” with her favorite quilt. However, those who wish to honor her are encouraged to gather for a memorial held on Sunday, March 29, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at Fair Park Baptist Church (4412 Whites Ferry Road, West Monroe, LA 71291). To celebrate our sweet Annie, we would love for you to wear something red, her favorite color, or purple for Alzheimer’s Awareness. As she used to say, “Be sweet until we meet!“
A visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
