Mary Agnes LeBrun Hambrick Crabtree

Funeral Mass for Mary Agnes LeBrun Hambrick Crabtree, 87, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, April 20, 2024, at St. Paschal Catholic Church in West Monroe, LA, with Fr. Mike Thang’wa officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday.

Mary was born February 3, 1937, in Camden, AR, to Clarence E. and Agnes K. Stauber LeBrun and peacefully passed from her earthly life to her eternal one on March 10, 2024, at St. Joseph Assisted Living Center in Monroe, LA.

Mary attended and graduated from Camden High School. She then went on to college to finish her education in Business. Shortly after finishing her education, she moved to New York City for a career as an Executive Administrative Assistant at International Paper Company Headquarters. Throughout the years she also lived and worked in Dallas, TX, and West Monroe, LA.

Mary and her husband, Earl retired to her “happy place” in Lake Wister, OK, where they camped out in their RV and enjoyed life to the fullest. They then moved to Fort Smith, AR, where she made many friends. While she enjoyed all the places she had lived, she settled down in West Monroe, LA, where she had happily been for the past 9 years.

Mary was a member of St. Paschal Catholic Church. As a lifelong Catholic, she was very devout in her faith and prayed the Holy Rosary daily. She loved playing the piano, singing, bowling, golfing, her Pokeno group, and playing bridge with her friends weekly. If you knew Mary, you know that she loved to joke and make her family and friends laugh. Above all else, Mary just enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and being in their presence.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence E. and Agnes K. Stauber LeBrun; her infant son, James Phillip Hambrick; her husbands, John Hambrick and Earl E. Crabtree; brothers, Clarence A. LeBrun and Richard F. LeBrun, Sr.,; and her sister, Phyllis A. Longhenry.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brother, Alfred E. LeBrun, of Monroe, LA; her sister-in-law, Evelyn L. LeBrun (Richard, Sr.), of West Monroe, LA; her sons, James L. Crabtree, of Dallas, TX, Richard C. Hambrick (Mary Ruth), of Piermont, NH, and Phillip A. Crabtree, of Lewisville, TX; granddaughters, Eyrleigh and Rylynn Hambrick, of Piermont, NH; stepsons, Stephen Crabtree (Susan) and her granddaughter, Stephanie Crabtree, of Burleson TX, and Mark Crabtree (April), of Joshua, TX; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
