Mary passed away peacefully on October 23, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Virgil and Dorothy (Chaney) Wolf on April 18, 1939 in Blytheville, Arkansas. Mary was a proud high school graduate of Greenville High School, Mississippi.

In 1959, Mary married the love of her life, the late James L. Myers. They then moved to West Monroe, LA and started their 60 year journey of life, laughter, and a whole lot of love. She and Jay raised five children to whom they nurtured and loved with the guidance of the Lord.

Mary sought to honor the Lord through the love she extended to her family and all she met. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

She will be remembered for her quick wit, humble presence, selflessness, and loyalty where all of these qualities were evident, steady, and strong in everything she did. Her organizational skills were reflected in how her home was ran, like a well oiled machine, clean as a whistle. She loved decorating her home and working in her yard with flowers and plants and “sweeping” everything clean.

Mary was an exceptional caregiver, always helping others and making sure you never left her home empty handed. With her love of music, dancing the jitterbug and singing with her beautiful voice which filled her house and hearts with happiness and love. Her greatest accomplishment will be known for her unconditional love for her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Mary leaves behind nothing but beautiful loving memories for her family to remember her by for years to come. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now in HIS PRESENCE.

Mary is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James “Jay” L. Myers; parents, Virgil and Dorothy Wolf; sister, Mildred Louise; and brothers, Jesse Wolf and Robert Wolf.
