Mavis Hazel Boney

Private burial services celebrating the life of Mavis Boney, 90, of West Monroe, LA, were held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 10:00 A.M., at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The service was led by Randy Smith. There was no visitation held.

Mavis Johnston Boney passed away July 22, 2023, at the age of 90, at Landmark Nursing home after a brief illness.

Mrs. Boney lived in West Monroe since 1954 and retired from GC Murphy company and Commercial Security. She loved to shop, cook, and collect frogs. Her family was her pride and joy, and she will be missed greatly.

Mrs. Boney is proceeded in death by her husband, Bobby Boney; her parents, Mr. HA Johnston and Mrs. Shirley Johnston of Rayville; and numerous brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her one son, Bryan Boney and his wife, Paula; her grandchildren, Brooke Boney Vincent, Stefanie Throckmorton, and Ashley Berry; her 4 great grandchildren, Keegan Vincent, Sadie Rae Vincent, Axton Vincent, and Ethan Throckmorton.
