Funeral services for Mr. Michael Ray “Mike” Waterman, 81, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Calistus Makokha officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the funeral home.

Michael “Mike” Waterman passed away June 2, 2026. He was known by many as Coach Waterman from all the years he spent coaching youth baseball. Everyone that knew him knew him for his dry, quick-witted sense of humor. He lived for his annual fishing trip to the south Louisiana marshes.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Joetta Waterman; and his wife, Connie Waterman.

Survivors include his sons, Jeff (Stacy) and Jamie (DeDe); daughter, Amy; and seven grandchildren, Daryn, John Martin, Mary Blaire, Harley, Perry, Aaron, and Ayden.

Serving as pallbearers will be Perry Waterman, Aaron Hall, Ayden Hall, Darin Ellett, Keith Rappold, and Sean Arrossa.
