Molly Ann Thorn

Funeral services for Mrs. Molly Ann Naff Thorn, 84, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 14, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe, LA, with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.

Mrs. Thorn was born March 19, 1937, in Monroe, LA, to Jewel Welch Naff and Joseph Jonathan Naff. She passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Thorn graduated from Neville High School where she was a Drum Majorette. She was a member of Madison United Methodist Church in Madison, AL, where she was a choir director for 12 years, and Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Thorn loved her church families. She loved to cook, travel, fish, sew, paint, and entertain/cook for her family and friends. She was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Mrs. Thorn was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bryan Thorn; her mother, Jewel Welch Naff; father, Joseph Jonathan Naff; and brothers, Edward Allen Naff and Joe Mack Naff.

Survivors include her brother, Tom Naff; daughter, Karen Rene Thorn Beeson; sons, Lawrence Bryan Thorn, Jr. and Jonathan Wilson Thorn; son-in-law, Jonathan Beeson; daughters-in-law, Toni Renee Collins Thorn and Mary Chalmers Thorn; grandsons, Christopher Brandon Beeson, Dustin Brooks Beeson, Aaron Blake Beeson, Jared Wilson Thorn, Jonathan Jacob Thorn, Joshua Bryan Thorn, and Jason Nickolas Thorn; as well as seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Brandon Beeson, Dustin Brooks Beeson, Aaron Blake Beeson, Jared Wilson Thorn, Jonathan Jacob Thorn, Joshua Bryan Thorn, and Jason Nickolas Thorn.
