Monica Lynn Marine Murphy, 61, was born July 16, 1964, in Monroe, LA and passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Collinston, LA.

Monica was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School class of 1982. She was an avid LSU and Saints fan. She loved animals and was a dedicated Chow owner. She loved all her friends and family ferociously, “More than the cold side of the pillow.”

She was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Cole Murphy; brothers, Steve Marine and Don Conerly; parents, Bentley and Enid “Mike” Marine; godson, Madison Clifton.

Survivors include her daughter, Abigail Braswell; cousins, Patrick Marine, David G. Marine, Sr. and wife, Kari Marine, his son, David G. Marine, Jr, his daughters, January R. Marine and Kayla Thompson; grandchild, Arabella Braswell; God children TJ Gentry, and Brandon Clifton; her fur babies, Scooter and Sookie; special friends, Stoney Goodman, Paula Boney, Lisa Sullivan, Gene Spence, Beth Hart, Kelli Clingen, Kenny and Lisa Robinson, Alvin Sharp, and Rebecca Cummins Jungina.
