Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Myrna Kay Norton Barnes, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Clark Springs Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA with Rev. Mickey Hudnall and Rev. Kyle Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in the Clark Springs Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Barnes was born on May 17, 1944, in Grand Rapids, MI and passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence in West Monroe, LA on June 18, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Barnes is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Norton, Myrtle Swiger and step-father, Zeke Swiger; spouses, Thomas L. Bont, Sr., Jimmy G. Barnes, Sr.; her Domestic Partner, Keith Joseph Pierce; brother, Douglas H. Norton; sister, Joann L. Norton Hall; grandson, Ronnie Lenard and granddaughter, Kirsten Barnes.

Survivors include her children, Thomas Lee Bont, Jr. (Angela), Jimmy G. Barnes, Jr. (Dawn), Cheryl Ann Barnes Hogue (Kenny), Cyndia Kay Bont, Dawn Marie Bont Hodges, and Tracie Lynn Barnes Lenard (Phillip); 18 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jacob Hogue, Jim Clark, P.J. Hodges, Ben Poirrier, Matt Wall, Brycen Coffman and Trevor Hutchens. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jonathan Bont.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
