Funeral services celebrating the life of Nadine Ann Barrett Odom, 79, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 12:00 P.M., Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Interment will follow immediately after at St. Paschal Catholic Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
The visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Friday, May 22, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
Mrs. Odom was born on November 26, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed away on May 19, 2026, at her residence in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Nadine dedicated more than 40 years of service to St. Francis Medical Center. She was deeply devoted to her church and faith and loved serving others in every season of life. She enjoyed coaching her children’s and grandchildren’s sports teams and was always one of their biggest supporters.
An avid pickleball player, Mrs. Odom also loved to travel, seek out new adventures, and spend time outdoors working in her yard and garden. She rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on her grandchildren, nieces/nephews, great-grandchildren, great-nieces/nephews at their sporting events and activities. Her love for family, community, and living life to the fullest will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Carroll Odom; parents, Fred and Blanche Barrett; and brothers, Michael Barrett, Ronald Barrett, and Donald Barrett.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her sons, William Brian Odom and wife, Teresa; Michael Allen Odom and wife, Natasha; grandchildren Taylor Odom, MegAnne Morgan, Joseph Odom, Blake Alford, and Brock Alford; great-grandchildren, Wren Callender, Indie Morgan, Zan Alford, Carson Alford; brothers, Travis Barrett and wife Patty, Danny Barrett; sisters-in-law, Toni Rice and husband, Garlon, Pam Barrett and Peggy Barrett; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be nieces, Jamie Ferguson, Jennifer Sanderson, Stephanie Attaway, Melissa Sanchez, Angela McCardle, Megan Head, Haley Zaragoza, and Kim Godwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Jeremy Barrett, Stephen Barrett, Ryan Barrett, Jason Barrett, and Daniel Barrett.
The family would like to extend special thanks to St. Francis Hospice and Meals on Wheels.
