Patrick Alan Gryder was born on September 10, 1963, in Springhill, Louisiana and passed away on October 19, 2025, in Eros, Louisiana.

Mr. Gryder was a cherished father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Patrick was a country man through and through. He was happiest when he had a rod and reel in his hand, a rifle over his shoulder, and listening to the sound of his dogs running in the woods. Patrick grew up with a deep respect for the outdoors, where he spent countless hours in the woods and on the water. Whether he was hunting deer, catching fish, or running dogs. He was always willing to teach anyone who would listen the right way to bait a hook or track a deer. Patrick lived a simple life built on hard work, faith, and a fierce love for his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan especially when it came to LSU Football. He also held the record at OCS for the most rushing yards per game for a very long time. Most of all he loved his mama and the Lord Jesus Christ and he let everyone around him know it.

Patrick was a member of the American Kennel Club Industry, American Fox Beagle Association, AKC Beagle Association, and the Dry Creek Hunting Club.

He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margaret Ann Gryder.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his father, Howard Gryder; daughter, Jade Huntsman and her husband, Tad; brother, Johnny Gryder and his wife, Patty; sisters, Cassie Carson and husband, Brad and Tiffany Putman and her husband, Brian; grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, Hayden, EllaRose, and Harper; great grandchildren, Scottie, Jaston, Raelynn, and Grayson; nieces, Kirsten, Bailey, and Hannah; nephews, Zach and Ty; as well as many friends who will miss him.

The pallbearers will be Dylan Tanksley, Dawson Tanksley, Hayden Swan, Josh Hinton, Jay “Jaybird” Bradshaw, and Chris “Beerman” Barton.

The honorary pallbearers will be Andy Gibson, Paul Albritton, Milas Davidson, Tommy Hendric, Brad Carson, Brian Putman, Ty Putman, Zach Gryder, Tod Jones, Thomas Jones, and Johnny Gryder.
