Obituary

Funeral services for Mr. Patrick Paul Staab, 57, of Baton Rouge, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, with Rev. Peter Mangum officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd.

Patrick was born on February 18, 1969, and passed away on June 30, 2026, in Baton Rouge, LA. He was an honor student, and a graduate of St. Frederick’s High School and LSU. He was also a devoted member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was an avid football fan and player. He was awarded 5 football scholarships. He passed on his love for sports to his son, Thomas. Patrick also loved to cook and fish.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father, William C. Staab.

Survivors include his son, Thomas Patrick Staab of Little Rock, AR; mother, Nancy Staab of Monroe, LA; brother, William Staab, Jr. and wife Laura of Monroe, LA; sister, Jennifer Boykin of Monroe, LA; mother of his children, Shannon Fikes of Little Rock, AR; nephews, Corbin Boykin of Monroe, LA and Avery Boykin of Shreveport, LA; and uncle, Dr. Paul Staab and wife Wanda of New Orleans, LA; as well as many beloved cousins and extended family.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Bershen, Corbin Boykin, Chris Edwards, Charley Fontana, David Fontana, Ricky Greschner, Ken McDonald, and Hollis Venable.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church or St. Frederick’s High School.
