Funeral Services for Mrs. Peggy Jean Powell, 72, of Calhoun, LA will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church, West Monroe with Bro. Roy Telano officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Peggy Jean Powell was a good Christian woman who passed away peacefully at her home on the afternoon of May 15, 2024. She will always be remembered for her love of her church community and her dedication to her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Dorothy White.

Survivors include her loving husband, Jerry Powell; children, Lori Ann Brown and husband, Vincent, Patricia Kaye Dabbs and husband, Shannon, Jerrilynn Byrnes and husband, Ricky, and Triston Bailey Powell (Kayley Davis); grandchildren, Danera Brown, Sage Marie Brown, Ariel Powell, Kayla Borden, Madison Trichell, and William Hatcher Green (Ellen Grace Smith); great-grandchildren, John Toulouse Brown, Arianna Marie Johnson, James Edward Norman, Jr., Madeline Blake Trichell, Emerye Tatum Trichell, Hallie Grace Green, and Emmy G. Davis; and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Vincent Brown, Triston Powell, Shannon Dabbs, Hatcher Green, Ricky Byrnes, Dustin Odaware, and Hunter Maxwell.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 9:00PM Friday, May 17, 2024 at Faith Chapel Pentecostal Church, West Monroe.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you please take a moment to hug your child, your grandchild, friend, or loved one. Take a moment to take in the world around you because time waits for no one.
