Obituary

Funeral services celebrating the life of Percy Dwayne Hogan, 90, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 4, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Eddie Simmons and Dr. Terry Taylor officiating . Interment will follow immediately after at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Dwayne was born on December 15, 1935 in Calhoun, Louisiana, to Wilbur Lee and Willie Mae Hogan. He passed away two weeks after his 90th birthday, on New Year’s Eve, following an extended stay in the hospital.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Troyce.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife, Bobbie Ann Finley Hogan, two sons, Percy Dwayne Hogan, Jr., and his wife, Cathy and Robin Hogan and wife, Belinda; six grandchildren, Caleb Hogan (Sandra), Micah Hogan, Kimberley Roberson (Craig), and Nicole Hammond; eleven great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Jackson, Mayley, Braden, Evie, Jesse, Mav, Wyatt, Bear, Rafe, and Ivy; sister, Billie Jean Spillers (W. A.); sister-in-law, Ann Hogan; as well as a host nieces and nephews.

Before retirement, Dwayne worked at the paper mill for forty- three years, never missed a day of work, and took whatever overtime he could. He served on the Forest Kraft Federal Credit Union Board of Directors for years and still had time to fish D’Arbonne Bayou, Eagle Lake, and the “stick pile” with his boys.

Dwayne was a faithful member of Family Church in West Monroe and enjoyed being part of Prime Time.

Dwayne and Bobbie were privileged to celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary this past August 27th, 2025 in the same house they lived in the past 68 years.

Pallbearers for the service will be Caleb Hogan, Micah Hogan, Craig Roberson, W.A. Spillers, Greg Dison, Braden Hammond, Robin Hogan, and Dee Hogan.
