Obituary

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Randall Randy “Rambo” Martin, 56, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA, with his lifelong special friend, William Gank Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church Cemetery near Chatham, LA.

Randy was born on December 17, 1968, to Henry “Eddie” Martin, Jr. and Glena Mae Hearne Martin. He passed away on November 21, 2025, in Monroe, LA. Randy was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved Nascar, gardening, cooking, and spending time at his deer camp. He also enjoyed spending time at Mardi Gras in Houma, LA. When Randy met you, he always gave you a nickname, and that’s what you were always known by. His greatest joy was ribbing his sister, “B-Dog,” when the Saints and LSU lost.

Survivors include his children, Randall “Wayne” Martin and wife, Fateemah—of Houston, Texas; sisters, Brenda Tolbert (Pat) of Athens, TX, Beth Powell (Don Gilmore) of Houma, LA, Sherry Marsh (Greg) of Cheney, WA, and Kim Tabb (David) of West Monroe, LA.; brother, Robby Martin of West Monroe, LA; aunt, Judy Mitcham of Algoa, TX; nieces, Kristen “K.P.” Powell of Chicago, IL, Brittney Love (Mike) of Harrisonburg, VA, Brandy Marsh of Spokane, WA, Brooklyn Nelson (David) of Spokane, WA, Mendy Tolbert of Athens, TX, and Bella Hodges of West Monroe, LA; nephews, James Martin of Pineville, LA, and Eric Tabb of West Monroe, LA; great nephew, Remy Nelson, of Spokane, WA; along with numerous cousins and friends who were his extended family.

Pallbearers will be Burley Osborne, Mark Bailey, Jason Bagwell, Brian Townsend, Michael Mitcham, and Kelly Foster. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Lee Fowler, Curtis Parker, Lane Bush, and David Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA, and from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Wednesday.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of St. Francis Medical Center MICU and also to his nurse, Lilly, who will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The passing of my dad left a void in my life that’s impossible to fill, but his memory is a constant source of light and guidance even during this time that I am being tested. I should have written a heartfelt letter to a father; however, the most I can do is pray that my message reaches him in heaven. God knows how much I miss him and how much I dream that I could hug him one more time. ~ “Wayne”

To know him was to love him and his heart of gold. Our hearts are aching; you’re no longer in pain. Sore high, Baby Brother ‘Rambo,’ until we meet again. While you’re gone, I will be sitting back and idling ~ “B-Dog”
