10:00 - 11:00 am (Central time)
Ray Pierce, age 90, of Kentwood, Louisiana, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his closest family by his side. Born on September 12, 1935, Ray lived a life filled with hard work, love for his family, and dedication to the people around him.
A graveside service for Ray will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe.
Ray was well known in the community as the proud owner of Ray’s Pege, where he spent many years cooking for loyal customers who quickly became friends. He took pride in serving others and loved welcoming people through his doors with good food and conversation. Later in life, Ray found joy in mowing lawns, being outdoors, hunting, and spending time with the people he loved most.
Above all else, Ray was a devoted family man. He was married for 72 wonderful years to the love of his life, Mary Lea, and their love remained the center of his life until the very end. His family finds comfort knowing he is now reunited with Mary in Heaven.
In his final years, Ray especially cherished the time he spent with his granddaughter, Jenna-Lea; grandson-in-law, Chantz; his beloved great granddaughters, and his sister, Helen. His great grandchildren brought him endless joy, and nothing made him happier than being surrounded by family and the dogs he loved so dearly.
Ray is survived by his daughters, Layden-Lea and Connie; six grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren; and many family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Lea; his daughter, Beverly Pierce; his son, Ricky Pierce; his granddaughter, Shannon Pierce; as well as his brothers, sisters, mother, and father.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Chantz for all his help and care in Ray’s later years.
