Raymond E Osborn Jr.

Raymond Earl Osborn, Jr. passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.  He was born on August 26, 1959, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to Raymond and Maxine Osborn. He grew up in Little Rock.

Ray attended the University of Arkansas, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, followed by a Master of Business Administration.  He worked as an agricultural sales representative early in his career, then worked in the field of finance with Crews and Associates in Little Rock.  Since 1998, Ray has lived in West Monroe, Louisiana and had a very successful career in wealth management at Iberia Bank and a 15 year career at Cadence Bank, formerly Bancorp South.

Ray accepted Christ as his savior at Unity Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock while in elementary school and lived as a Christian his entire life.  He was an active member of First West Church in West Monroe at the time of his death. Ray was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and was very proud of his family. He raised his children to be active, involved and committed, and to have strong moral values.

Ray was very generous, always surprising his family members and friends with heartfelt, often extravagant, gifts carefully chosen to honor a part of their personality or interests. A lifelong Razorback fan, he was known to gift tickets and memorabilia so that everyone around him was prepared to call the hogs.

Continuing the example set by his loving parents, Ray especially valued making exciting memories on trips to spur of the moment destinations with those closest to him.

Ray’s larger-than-life personality touched the lives of all those around him. He kept us on our toes with his exceptional gift for telling outlandish and humorous stories.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Osborn Sr.; grandparents, Everett and Carrie Osborn; and Garland and Velma Lierly.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Keeton Osborn; daughter, Katie Steiner (Thomas); sons, Luke Osborn and Jameson Keeton; granddaughter, Evelyn Maxine Steiner; mother, Maxine Osborn; sister, Ramona Geurin (Steve); nephews, Scott Geurin (Laura) and Taylor Geurin (Katie); grandnephews, Scottie Geurin and James Geurin; and grandniece, Rileigh Geurin.

Visitation will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2:00 P.M., with a Memorial Service following at 3:00 P.M.

Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Steiner, Dennis Johnson, Mike Gross, L.J. Holland, David Redding, Chad Vermillion, Justin Christy, and Laila Holland.
