Rebecca Franklin Clarkson

Rebecca Renee Clarkson, lovingly known by many as Mrs. Becky, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026 in Jackson Mississippi at the age of 57. She was born on March 13, 1969 in Pasadena, Texas and was a longtime resident of Monroe, Louisiana.

Rebecca was a woman whose greatest gift was the love she gave to others. She was kind, caring, and devoted to her family. She had a heart that made everyone around her feel loved, welcomed, and cared for.

Throughout her career, Becky made a meaningful impact as Lead Teacher at the Cub House on the Bayou. In this role, she was known not only for her professionalism and commitment but also for the warmth and kindness she extended to her daycare babies and colleagues. Her presence brightened the classroom, and her influence shaped countless young lives, leaving a legacy of compassion and encouragement.

Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared 41 years of marriage with her beloved husband, Robert Clarkson Sr., who preceded her in death on August 2, 2025. Their life together was filled with family, love, and memories that will be treasured forever.

Rebecca is survived by her children: Robert Clarkson Jr. (Jennifer),Brandon Clarkson and wife Krista, and Josh Clarkson, She also shared a close bond with her son-in-law, Cody Jones, whose presence brought additional joy to the family circle, along with her beloved 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jody Franklin, as well as many extended family members, friends, and countless children and families whose lives she touched throughout the years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Clarkson Sr.; her daughter, Felicia Clarkson, her parents, Bobby Joe Franklin and Mary Jo Mareno; her brothers, James Franklin and Bobby Lewis Franklin; and her sisters, Irma Moore and Pamela Loftin.

Family was the center of Rebecca’s world. She loved her children fiercely and found some of her greatest joy in being a grandmother and great-grandmother. She treasured every moment spent with the people she loved, whether it was a family gathering, a simple conversation, or watching her grandchildren grow. Rebecca had a way of making her family feel loved and cared for, always putting their needs before her own. She was the kind of mother and grandmother whose love could be felt without ever having to say a word. Her family was her greatest accomplishment, her greatest joy, and the legacy she leaves behind.

Rebecca’s legacy will not be measured by the years she lived, but by the love she gave. She leaves behind a family who will forever miss her presence, her love, and the warmth she brought into their lives.

Though her time with us was far too short, her love will continue through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and every person who was fortunate enough to know her.

Rest peacefully, Mrs. Becky. Your arms may no longer be here to hold us, but your love will remain wrapped around us forever. You will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten.
