Memorial services celebrating the life of Richard “Dicky” Cole, 82, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Cedar Crest Baptist Church, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service.

Richard “Dicky” Cole, 82, passed away on August 21, 2026. He was born on February 7, 1944, in Monroe, Louisiana.

Dicky lived a life marked by faith, family, service, and love for others. Above all else, he loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and he was never shy about sharing that love with those around him. His faith was an important part of who he was and how he lived his life.

Dicky spent more than 30 years working at the State Farm Regional Office. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army and Army Reserve for more than 25 years. His many years of service reflected the dedication and commitment that he brought to every part of his life.

When he wasn't working or serving, Dicky could often be found doing something he loved especially fishing. But no pastime meant more to him than spending time with his family. His greatest joys were found in the people he loved and the memories they made together.

Dicky is survived by his beloved wife, Marjorie “Peanut” Kulcke Cole; his son, Joey Cole and wife, Jenny; his daughter, Katy Williams and husband, Jeffery; and his grandchildren, Emma, Zachary, and Benjamin. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply and a legacy of faith, service, and devotion that will continue through them.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cedar Crest Baptist Church Building Fund.

Dicky will be remembered for his love of family, his years of service to his country and community, the time he enjoyed on the water fishing, and most importantly, his unwavering love for Jesus Christ. His family takes comfort in knowing that the faith he so freely shared throughout his life is now sight.
