As a biochemistry graduate from Purdue University, Bob started his career as a chemist but when he became a Christian in 1964, the Lord had different plans. Bob had a passion for the lost. The Lord took that passion and led him to start working as a personal evangelism director for churches in Michigan and Indiana. In 1970, while working for the Donmoyer Avenue church of Christ, he started the South Bend School of Personal Evangelism in 1970. In 1974, he moved his family to West Monroe, Louisiana to start the School of Personal Evangelism at the White’s Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies. Throughout his many years at White’s Ferry Road, Bob would serve as an elder, personal evangelist on the local staff and with We Care Ministries. As a personal evangelist and teacher, Bob shared Jesus with countless people and taught many how to share the gospel.
Bob’s passion for the lost, took him to the best and worst parts of towns all over the country as he told people about Jesus. Bob was a jovial person, with a contagious laugh and was at home in any situation. There are many who know Jesus and are in heaven today because Bob’s fearless sharing of the gospel of Christ.
