Robert Elkin

Funeral services for Robert Elkin, 45, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013, at North Monroe Baptist Church, with Rev. David Worthington officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Elkin passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. Robert was full of life and touched the hearts of many people. He was a marine, a son, a husband, a father, and a friend. He was an accomplished scuba diver, loved to ski, ride motorcycles, and go to the movies every Friday. His life was cut way to short.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah A. Elkin; children, Zachary Elkin and Katelyn Elkin; parents, Roger and Gail Elkin of Monroe; two brothers, Richard Elkin and wife Dani of West Monroe and their children, Zoe and Duece Elkin; and Randy Elkin and wife Mignon of Niceville, FL and their children, Myer and Myranda Elkin.

Pallbearers will be Mike Fendall, Frank Bumgarden, Bo Carter, Martin Navarro, Todd Newman, Mark Nappier, Mark Hatok, and Keith Chamblin.

Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to River Oaks High School.
