Graveside Services celebrating the life of Robert L. Montgomery, Sr. will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Hasley Memorial Pavilion with Alex Devillier officiating.

Bob was born on May 19, 1944, in Portsmouth, Virginia and passed away on January 12, 2026, in Monroe, Louisiana. He retired from Cargil after many years. Bob enjoyed classic cars, gardening, carpentry, and mechanical work. He was a jack of all trades. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Montgomery, and daughter, Rebecca Hoyt.

Survivors include his children; Patricia Montgomery Snyder, Robert L. Montgomery, Jr. “Bob Jr.” and wife Shannon, Richard Montgomery and wife Lena, Michael Bush, Cheryl Price and husband, Chadd, and Laura Johnson and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Dereck Ruane, Aly Johnson, Adam Johnson and wife, Kelly, Abi Price, Michael Harris, Samantha Harris, Jennifer Bennett, Malcolm Hoyt, J.R. Deberry, and Danial Montgomery; great grandchildren, Kaizlee, and Leeland Mitchell, Attlee Johnson and Connor Loucks; and his best half who will miss him the most, Helen Lowe.
