Ronald Douglas Cupples, 56, of Monroe, La, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, was born January 9, 1966 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Ron went to be with his eternal Father on August 3, 2022. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6th, at North Monroe Baptist Church in Monroe, La. A celebration of his life will follow with Reverend Marc Eichelberger and Corey Taylor officiating the service.
Ron is survived by two daughters, Kennedy Barrett Cupples (fiance, Stihl Smith), and Camryn Leigh Cupples and their mother, Julie Barrett Cupples; sister, Cindy Cupples Smith (David) and children Luke (Kayla) and Jessie Smith; and his faithful furry companion, Tebow. He was preceded in death by his parents, Landis Ronald “Ronnie” and Loretta Young Cupples.
Ron was a graduate of River Oaks High School and attended The University of Louisiana at Monroe. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for hunting, fishing and long boat rides with his buddy, Tebow. You could always find him at the Neville softball games cheering on the Tigers and on the sidelines on Friday nights moving the chains.
Ron loved his family more than anything in this entire world. He loved being a Dad. His daughters were the light of his life. Whether it was traveling to softball games, going on crawfish dates, or fishing on the river, he always put his girls first. Ron was a great friend to anyone he met. He loved spending time with friends and living a simplistic life. Ron also loved the Lord and had surrendered his life to Him. He will be greatly missed for his big heart by his family, friends and anyone who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fresh Start Ministry, Winnsboro, Louisiana.
