Funeral services celebrating the life of Rylan Wade Givens, 19, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, August 31st, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Zach Smith officiating. Interment will follow immediately after at Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

The visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.

With hearts broken yet full of gratitude for the joy he brought into this world, we celebrate the life of Rylan Wade Givens, who passed away on August 25, 2026, at the young age of 19. Born on August 7, 2007, Rylan lived a life marked by kindness, laughter, and a love so genuine that everyone who knew him felt it deeply.

Rylan was an operator for Saiia Construction, LLC, where he was respected not only for his hard work but for the way he carried himself with humility, warmth, and a smile that never seemed to fade. Friends and coworkers described him as charismatic, polite, compassionate, kindhearted, and full of joy. He had a gentle spirit wrapped in a big frame, a true teddy bear whose presence brought comfort and light to every room he entered.

He loved fishing, being outdoors, and spending time with his friends. Rylan had a gift for making people laugh, brightening even the hardest days with his humor and easygoing nature. To see Rylan was to see a smile always wide, warm, and sincere. He lived with a joy that radiated outward, touching everyone around him.

More than anything, Rylan loved his family. He never left a room, ended a phone call, or walked away from someone he cared about without saying “I love you.” It was his signature, his way of making sure people knew exactly how he felt. He told everyone he loved them, and he meant it every single time.

Rylan was preceded in death by his great‑grandparents, Thelbert & Mary Jo Lewis, Prentice and Leah Redding; great‑grandmother, Lois Benoit; grandmother, Elaine Givens; and aunt, Kassie Givens Jordan.

He is survived by his loving mother, Juliee Stafford (Chase); sisters, Layken and Ella Jo; father, Dustin Givens; aunt, Megan Cannon; uncles, Nathan Redding (Misty), Chase Redding (Kelsey), Cliff Givens, Chuck Jordan and daughter, Cailin; grandparents, Scott and Lissa Redding; grandfather, Ralph Givens; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family who adored him beyond measure.

Pallbearers honoring Rylan’s memory are Nathan Redding, Chase Redding, Parker Redding, Collin Ramsey, Collin Turner, Skyler Morgan, Lane Stout, and Cliff Givens.

Rylan’s life, though far too short, was overflowing with love, laughter, and purpose. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, joy, and heartfelt connection, one that will continue to live on in the countless people he touched. His smile, his warmth, and his “I love you” will echo in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
