A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Sandra Cavet Waldo, 62, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Amazing Grace Worship Center, 2594 LA-15 Calhoun, LA 71225. Officiating will be Pastor Art Beebe.
Sandra was born on November 6, 1960, in Newellton, LA and passed away on May 6, 2023, in Monroe, LA.
Sandy was passionate about taking care of family. Her fierce love showed through her food, bringing Joy to all that ate it. She would happily spend every hour cooking, making sure everyone had enough to eat. But Sandy’s love wasn’t just limited to food; it extended to every person she met. There was a certain light in her eyes that never faded, no matter how hard life got. Even in tough times, Sandy always held onto faith and hope, believing with all her heart that things would get better. Of course, Sandy’s children and grandchildren were the most important people in her world. They were the reason for everything she did, the driving force behind every action and decision. But that did not mean Sandy couldn’t let loose from time to time – she wouldn’t turn down a trip to the casino if you asked her nicely. Those fortunate enough to have known her will keep her memory alive and cherished in their hearts, with the assurance that her soul has found peace in Jesus Christ.
Mrs. Waldo was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bobbie Cavet and one niece, Brittany Nolen.
Left to cherish beautiful memories of Sandy are her children, Stacy Waldo Hernandez (Josh), Chad Edward Waldo (Miata); grandchildren, Madison, William, Chad, and Oaklie; siblings, James Ray Cavet, Debra Bennett, Carolyn Nolen, and Vera Cavet-Vanderpool. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
