Obituary

A memorial graveside celebrating the life of Scott Mitchell Jones, 45, of Mangham, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 2, 2026, at Gwin Cemetery in Mangham, Louisiana with Rev. Rick Altman officiating.

Scott was born on July 19, 1981, in Delhi, Louisiana and passed away on October 24, 2026.

Scott was a man with a gentle spirit, a kind heart, and a love for his family and friends that knew no bounds. He was the kind of person who made life a little brighter simply by being a part of it. His quiet strength, warm heart, and genuine kindness were gifts to everyone blessed enough to know him.

A carpenter by trade, Scott was a hardworking man who took pride in his craft. He was also a member of Mangham First Baptist Church. Above all else, Scott treasured the people he loved, and his family always held a special place in his heart.

To his family, Scott was so much more than words could ever express. He was a wonderful brother, a loving uncle, and a treasured friend. He was truly the best brother and uncle anyone could have ever asked for. His gentle ways, loving heart, and the countless little moments shared with him will be cherished for a lifetime.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Judy Parham Jones; and brother, Bradley Clay Jones.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his father, Harris “Buddy” Jones; sister, Maudi Morris and her husband, Eric; niece, Hannah Meyers-Power and husband, Henry; nephews, Jackson and Aubrey Morris; great nephew, Bradley Thomas Meyers-Power; as well as a host of friends and loved ones.

Life will never be quite the same without Scott, but the love he gave so freely will never fade. He leaves behind beautiful memories, a lifetime of love, and a special place in the hearts of those who loved him. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing how blessed we were to have him in our lives.

Scott was deeply loved, will be forever missed, and will never be forgotten.
