Services for Sharon Kidd 65, of Swartz, Louisiana will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road Monroe, with Dr. Alan Miller officiating. Internment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Sharon was born May 21, 1960, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 6, 2026. She was a member of Swartz First Baptist Church where she faithfully served the Lord. She and her husband Gary taught the kindergarten Sunday School class for many years.
Sharon had a tremendous work ethic. She began working at a young age selling Home Interior and working at Wilson Department store. She was a smiling, friendly face at Thompson’s Family Pharmacy in Swartz for many years. She was currently employed at James Machine Works where she has been for over 30 years. Sharon was a hard-working employee wherever God placed her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, J.W. and Marie Glenn, sister, Debbie Lawrence Coats, and brother, John Glenn.
Left to cherish her sweet memory include her husband of 50 years, Gary Kidd,
son, Jeff Kidd (Allie, Eli, Leah Smith), sister, Susie Fontenot, a very special niece that was like a daughter, Amy Fontenot, great niece, Abigail Fontenot, great nephew, Sean Lawrence, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and step nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews – John Paul Fontenot, Stephen Lawrence, Josh Kidd, Jon Michael Kidd, and Jason Hatchett, and friends, Sherieal Fowler, Mark Pullin, and Tim Oglesbee.
Memorials may be made to the building fund of Swartz First Baptist Church, 1983 Hwy 139, Monroe, LA 71203.
