Memorial service for Sharon Sue Prickett Hale, 75, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00am Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Pastor Johnny Holyfield officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:00am until the service at 10:00am. Interment will be scheduled for a later date at the Northeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery.

Sharon was born on December 4, 1950 in Waco, Texas and passed away February 22, 2026, in Monroe, LA.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, William David Hale Sr.; her parents, Ray and Dorothy Prickett; and her siblings, Tommy Prickett, Linda Monfort, and David Prickett.

She is survived by her sister, Donna Bertram. Her children, Carey Don Fussell, Ray Fussell with wife Christina, Sharon Hale O’Briant, and William David Hale Jr. with wife Angela. Her grandchildren Christopher, Victoria, Carter, Ethan, Christina with husband Chris, Allison, and five great grandchildren. Sharon also leaves behind countless more beloved family and friends.

Sharon Sue Prickett Hale was born and raised in Texas, after high school she moved to Louisiana and made it her home. Sharon spent her working life in customer service. Her strong work ethic, warm personality and easy-going humor served her well during her times at Montgomery Ward, Walmart, and working craft shows with her friends. In her retirement, she enjoyed her time with family, grandbabies, friends and her dog, Toby. Sharon loved and was loved. She will be deeply missed.

The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the great staff and health care professionals at St. Francis Medical Center that took exceptional care of Mrs. Sharon until the very end.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in her name to the American Heart Association.
