A memorial service for Mr. Stanley D. Shlosman, Jr. 78, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 2, 2026, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Stanley was born April 10, 1947, in Monroe, LA, and passed away March 27, 2026. He was a member of Temple B’Nai Israel.
“Big Don” as he was fondly called, loved his family, first and foremost. He was a trustworthy and loyal friend to many. Don owned Lease Car Sales where he wholesaled cars to local dealers.
Don loved to travel; he enjoyed cruises with family and friends. At last count, he traveled on 28 cruises.
His other passion was hunting with his special and cherished friends at Salt Lake Hunting Club. Don was known for his fried oysters, for the crew.
Big Don loved life and he lived it to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley D. Shlosman, Sr. and Polly H. Shlosman; son, Stanley D. Shlosman, III; and stepdaughter, Tracy young Patton.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Nina F. Shlosman; son, Thomas W. Shlosman (wife, Katie Winters Shlosman); daughter, Leila S. O’Neal (husband, Daniel O’Neal); stepdaughter, Adrienne Boyd (husband, Donny Boyd); grandchildren, Laine, Emma and Will Shlosman, and Shelby and Paige O’Neal; and brother, S.J. Shlosman (wife, Nancy).
Pallbearers will be Lee Tugwell, D.C. Culpepper, Conroy Hines, Mike McTurner, John Muse, Larry Rodgers, and Gary Cox.
