Mr. Arthur was born on May 17, 1947, in Kingsville, TX and passed away on September 30, 2025, in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Arthur was born and raised in Kingsville, Texas where he graduated high school. After graduating, he then went on to attend Louisiana Tech University, where he met the love of his life, Vickie.

After graduating college he became an insurance salesman and successful business owner for over forty years in West Monroe.

Ray was an avid sports enthusiast and loved baseball and when he couldn’t play anymore, he began umpiring everything from little league to collegiate level baseball. He was also an avid outdoorsman whether it be gardening or riding his tractor, but his favorite place was in his boat on the water. Ray was an excellent fisherman and he loved fishing almost as much as he loved his wife!

Mr. Arthur was a devoted Christian man who was a very active member and deacon at McClendon Baptist Church. He taught several Sunday school classes during his time at McClendon. He, his wife, and the youth group loved going on World Changers adventures, where they helped those in need all over the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, R.V. and Lodie Lee Arthur; and uncle, John Marlon “Uncle Punk” Lee.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Vickie Arthur; three children, Jay Arthur and wife, Courtney, David Athur, and Jill Arthur; five grandchildren, Cooper, Coen, Isaac, Isabella, and Soloman; as well as a host of family, friends, and many cherished loved ones.

The pallbearers will be Alek Keithley, Brad Black, Jeff Batalia, Roger Lee, Randall Richardson, and Terry Dumas.
