Obituary

Graveside services celebrating the life of Thomas “Tommy” Don Sanders, 68, of West Monroe, Louisiana will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 27th, 2026, at St. Paschal’s Catholic Cemetery with Rev. Scotty Sanders officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Tommy was born on March 15th, 1958, in San Antonio, Texas and passed away on August 24th, 2026, after a horrible battle with cancer.

Tommy lived his life with a kind heart and a deep love for the people and comforts that shaped his days. Blessed to grow up with three wonderful brothers, he carried those early bonds of family with him throughout his life.

A proud graduate of Ridgedale Academy, Tommy loved sports from the very beginning and never lost that enthusiasm. His greatest joy, though, was gathering with his family especially Sunday lunches and holiday celebrations that filled his world with warmth, laughter, and connection. Those moments were the heartbeat of his life.

Tommy also adored his sweet cats, faithful companions who brought him comfort and affection every day. He enjoyed his work in the furniture business and took pride in helping others make their homes feel welcoming. Whether he was watching a game, sharing a meal with family, or relaxing with his beloved cats, Tommy found happiness in the simple, meaningful parts of life.

Those left to love and cherish his memory are his mother, Barbara Peters Brim; father, Louis Sanders and wife, Sara; brothers, Scotty Sanders (Cindy), Ricky Sanders (Paula), and Casey Sanders (Sharon); as well as a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and friends.

He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, his devotion to family, and the love he gave so freely
