Mrs. Berry was born on February 16, 1933, and passed away on February 27, 2026 in West Monroe, LA. Mrs. Berry was a long-time faithful member of McClendon Baptist Church, where she was often found meeting with various groups to be the hands and feet of Jesus, serving with food they had made, to hospital kits for new babies in the nursery at local hospitals. She had a heart to serve and that is just what she did. In her spare time, she was found caring for her husband Buddy of 63 years, gossiping amongst her pokeno group, or hanging out at the BINGO hall. Lastly, her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved her grandchildren with her entire being, but once great grands entered the picture, her entire life was complete.
She will be greeted in heaven with open arms by many family members and friends that have gone before her, but the two she will be most grateful to be reunited with will be her husband, Buddy and her daughter, Barbara Lynn Berry.
Survivors include her three boys, Gene Berry and wife, Margaret, Keith Berry and fiancé, Jennifer Martinez, and Bill Berry. Brother, Kenneth Redding and Sister, Betty Wallace. Grandchildren, Nicholas (Christa), Courtney (Matt), Seth (Alyssa), Molly Jane (Tyler); Great Grands (her absolute heart) Collins and Hudson Berry, Riley Grace, Luke, and Brooks Overturf, Henry and Scottie Berry and Teddy Lawson.
As a pillar for her family, she will be missed. Her sarcasm, loving heart, and warm smile will leave a hole that no other can fill.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Berry, Seth Berry, Matthew Overturf, Robbin Redding, Tim Brown, Dusty Brown, and Hudson Berry.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Landmark Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center of West Monroe for the care provided over the last nine years.
Memorials may be made to the McClendon Baptist Church Children’s program.
