Vonnie Belle Powell

August 31, 1931 — May 19, 2026

With loving hearts, we celebrate the beautiful life of V.B. Powell who peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord at the age of 94 on May 19,2026. V.B. was a devoted Christian woman whose faith in Jesus guided her throughout her life. She loved the Lord with all her heart and lived each day as an example of kindness, patience, and unconditional love. Her gentle spirit and caring nature touched everyone who knew her. She dedicated her life to caring for children, a calling she truly cherished. For many years, she proudly co-owned and operated a daycare, the Gingerbread House with her daughter, Debbie, & worked at North Monroe Baptist Church daycare where she lovingly cared for generations of children. Countless families were blessed by her nurturing heart, warm hugs, wisdom, and gentle guidance. To many, she was more than a caregiver — she was “Mamaw” Above all, V.B. treasured her family. She loved her family dearly. V.B. will be remembered for her sweet smile, her loving heart, her unwavering faith, and the way she made everyone feel special and cared for. Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing she is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, compassion, and family that will continue to live on through all who were blessed to know her.
