Walter was born on July 10, 1947, in Winnsboro, Louisiana and went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 18, 2026, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Walter lived his life with a deep love for the outdoors and an even deeper love for the Lord. A true sportsman at heart, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and spending time in God’s creation. But when it came to game day, everyone knew exactly where his heart was locked in on LSU. Whether it was baseball or football, Walter cheered with a passion that could fill a stadium. He didn’t just watch LSU sports; he lived them. From celebrating victories to standing by his Tigers through every tough season, he was proudly and undeniably LSU’s biggest fan.
His faith guided every step he took, and he served the Lord wholeheartedly as a devoted member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. Walter’s kindness, steady spirit, and genuine love for people made him someone others naturally gravitated toward him. His laughter, his loyalty, and his Tiger pride were contagious.
Walter is preceded in death by his daughter, Stephanie Beach; daughter-in-law, Molly Beach; parents, Dan and Verdia Beach; brothers, Raymond Beach, Gerald Beach, and Buddy Beach; brother-in-law’s, Phillip Doty and Marvis Coleman; sister, Alice Massey; sister-in-law, Betty Avant; father-in-law, John Burrell; and mother-in-law, Eva Burrell.
Those left to love and cherish Walter’s memory is his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Christine Beach; children, Debra Beach and Timothy Beach; grandchildren, Kelsea Rose Beach and Bella Grace Beach; sisters, Jean Moran (Errol), Mary Coleman, and Betty Dumas (Bud); brother-in-law, Rastus Massey; sister-in-law, Sherry Beach and Frances Doty; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones.
The pallbearers will be Darin Beach, Jay Beach, Jason Doty, Michael Massey, Drue Beach, Eddie Beach. The honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Deville, Caleb Powell, and John Powell.
Walter will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of faith, family, and LSU spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those he loved.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Central Baptist Church in Wisner.
